Suddenly Six!

Someone had a birthday this week! Our Princess is 6 years old…when did this happen? It was a very bittersweet day as we celebrated this precious joy in our lives. I miss the sweet baby but love every…almost…minute of time with this suddenly long legged big girl. It was a lovely week and it felt very Springlike this weekend. Suddenly, there was motivation to plan gardens, change decor and open all the windows to freshen this beloved old house. Enjoy some of the new spring touches…and our birthday girl!

A sweet bunny from an old bedspread.

Purple glass! My favorite.

A great pillow from a dish towel.

A newly adopted bunny into our home.

A Princess turns six in her beloved Kindergarten room…Sigh…Can this moment last forever?

  1. Your princess is gorgeous! I hope she had a very happy birthday (it’s clear that you provide everything necessary for a happy life – well done!). And I love the bunny made from the bedspread! 🙂

  2. Happy birthday to your Princess! When she hits adolescence, just remember that the aliens who have abducted your sweet child and left a mouthy, sarcastic drone in her place will return her at about age 21 or 22. By this time, she will consider you folks, much smarter! Cherish her now! I wish putting bricks on their heads could keep them little! Especially love that bunny and your purple glass! Happy Easter!

  3. She is a doll! It goes so quickly doesn’t it?! My husband often asks my daughter (4 years old) if she can stay this age forever. 🙂 I love the purple glass! So pretty. Thanks for sharing at Sweet Inspiration!
