How fun to be in the midst of the holiday season with a Little Princess in residence. This seems to be the year she is fully engaged in not only the fun festivities, but in the true meaning of Christmas…The birth of a king. It’s been a joyful blur of children’s choir, school production of “The Friendly Beasts”, living Nativity and pancakes with Santa. The best part…she has taken a real interest in the Christmas Home Decor and can be trusted, for the most, in a room with mercury glass and vintage ornaments. It was nice to open some bins that have been stored for quite some time. Enjoy!

Homespun candy canes, a Christmas cross-stitch made by my Mom and My Hero’s boyhood stocking dress up my vintage chair.

My Grandmother’s music box church in a red and white enamelware pan looks simple but festive.

Polish pottery trees share space with vintage seltzer bottles.

And the best of all…a real gingerbread house totally Princess created!

I love a fireplace. I love that my house has not one, but two fireplaces to adorn for Christmas. It is instant coziness when you curl up on a dreary day with a good book…or good Hallmark Christmas movies…whatever your pleasure. After the tree is covered with beauty, the fireplaces are the first place in the house to be decorated. Of course, stockings are plentiful…Santa needs choices after all!

Our kitchen fireplace really stands out with the more rustic elements and natural greens.

How cozy is this?

The mercury glass trees sparkle in the firelight.

Vintage Santas and Vintage quilt stockings hanging from a turn of the last century school coat hook look perfect together.

Speaking of that bearded gentleman, we are bravely moving closer…the candy cane was a great incentive.
