I enjoy a good pumpkin display, I have to admit, and if you have followed me for any length of time you know I usually take a “more is better” approach to decorating. I like to refer to it as “cluttery chic”. This year I have been inspired to take a more scaled back look for the season and to find “beauty in the simple”. Enjoy my attempts!
Simple leaves on the Eiffel Tower brings to mind Fall in Europe …happy memories.
What is more quintessential Fall than bittersweet in antique enamelware?
Several old garlands of leaves and a wire frame is all it took to make this simple but dramatic wreath.
The perfect sentiment to embrace this time of year as we grow closer to the holidays.
Our sweet Princess has simple needs…a good costume and a basket of candy is her only requirement for a great Halloween!

The Princess is certainly enjoying Halloween- too cute!! I like your “simple” approach to decorating, beautiful choices. My son and I collected fresh bittersweet last week and now it is draped over everything! One can never go wrong with bittersweet. I must admit that my approach for Halloween is “more is never enough”, I got caught up in the spirit. I love the idea of using garlands to construct the wreath, it’s fantastic. Thank-you for another lovely post. The Happiest of Halloweens to all of you!

I love bittersweet. You’ve inspired me to run out and pick some from the path across the street. I love your fall wreath as well. And, of course your little princess steals the show with her cuteness.

I attempt, but have a difficult time doing less. However, I try! 🙂 You’ve managed to conquer the concept. Your little Princess is a cute cheerleader! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

I love the Live Within Your Harvest tapestry! Our little princess was all about the lollipops this Halloween (her first year trick or treating) too!

Love the style “cluttery chic” that you coined. Now I know what my style is. They say less is more but I have yet to accomplish it. Thank you for sharing at Snickerdoodle Create, Bake, and Make Link Party!

I struggle with it as well. I think all bets go out the window for the holidays!

I love the bittersweet in that enamelware, it looks gorgeous!! I do usually decorate very lightly and sometimes it’s hard with all that lovely decor available!

I know. I am going to try for a scaled down Christmas. We will see how it goes when all the merriment begins.

As much as I love seeing others Fall decorations, I have never decorated very much for Fall. Maybe it’s because we don’t really have much of a Fall in north Texas. Your decorations are beautiful.

I lived on a tropical island for 8 yeasts….Navy life can be fun! I missed the fall but like you, I found it difficult to put out pumpkins and leaves when it was 80 degrees and sunny. Enjoy the holidays!
