It seems like Christmas just flew by…it was here and now it’s gone. It was a lovely but brief season this year with such a late Thanksgiving, and I just don’t have the heart to tuck away the splendor of it all quite yet. Sometime next weekend, they will begin to seem odd and cluttered, but for now they still bring me joy! I hope you enjoy them as well…
We will still have the memories…

Oh I love that last picture – what a sweetheart! I like to hold onto the holidays a little longer too, and you’re right – the memories will last forever! 🙂 Happy New Year Amy!

Looking at this weekend to tuck away the Christmas. The house does seem lighter when it is gone.

Oh what fun! I love your decorations and my gosh…that is quite the mountain of presents! Someone must have been really good this year. I saw your post over at “A Stroll Thru Life” blog party.

Thank you. Our girl was stunned and so surprised. There were a few tucked in there for the adults and big kids. Six seems the perfect age for the Christmas magic.

I always like to step back at this time of the year and reflect on what went well, and what I might have done better. I don’t make resolutions but do focus on starting the new year on a good foot. – Margy

It always seems a fresh start. Most of my resolutions have faded out in a few months. I’m looking for a change in attitude, and practicing a bit more gratitude for my home, family and health. I like the idea of a yearly reflection.

A few days more and I will be ready for Christmas to be gone. The greens and berries will stay a bit longer for winter.

Oh, Amy! Love your beautiful wreath and the decorations you have outfront of your home!! I bet your daughter was over the moon with excitement with all of those presents under the tree!!! We had a quiet year and I finally got a home tour out on Christmas day, I think. It’s the way it is when we work and try to blog, lol!!
Have a lovely New Year 2020 and I am glad you shared at Share Your Style #237 this evening,
Hugs,
Barb 🙂

She was flabbergasted at the whole magic of Christmas. Six seems to be the perfect age for the true experience. She has such a gentle spirit and could not stop saying Thank you. We even wrote a thank you note to Santa today.
I’m ready for Christmas to be tucked away. I will probably keep some of the more natural items out for winter decor.
You are right, working and blogging can be a challenge, but I’m glad so many of us do it!

Everything does look SO CLEAN when all the decorations are put away, that’s one positive thing I think about when I have to take down the splendor!

I agree a cleaner line seems to brighten the house, and it has been so gloomy lately. We will start this weekend to put the absolute Christmas stuff away, some of the natural elements like the greens and berries I’ll keep up for a while. The poor tree is ready for its new life as mulch for some garden!

Loved your Christmas decor and Princess is always such a cutie! I’m leaving my small artificial tree up for another week caz I got it up late and am not bored looking at it yet! Bringing in the light up Nativity set in the front yard always seems like a Federal project that I am not looking forward to! Happy New Year!

We managed to put most away today, the house looks more open but I miss my Christmas cheer. It is not much fun to take everything down. We went through everything and have several totes to donate, that feels good!
