For the most part it was sunny and warm enough to go without a coat. Sunny or overcast, it was a very fun city to celebrate Spring Break. This was our family’s first joint adventure to the southwest and we found it suited us perfectly. We enjoyed the friendly people, lovely weather, good food and variety of activities. We did a lot of things in the city but ventured outside the limits a bit as well. A great hotel on the Riverwalk and a rental car helped us connect with the area and helped make it a time to remember.
Our hotel, Hotel Contessa, was beautiful and located a block or two from all the fun of the Riverwalk. You could easily spend your whole trip there! The big attraction was the Alamo of course. I’m pretty surprised at the small size, but it was still fascinating to tour and explore. We enjoyed a very informative and fun River Cruise. Be prepared for long lines, and eat some wonderful Tex Mex…and some delicious Margaritas.
If you ask the Princess, she would say Lego Land and the Sea Life exhibit was her favorite…at least in the top 3. I would not know, I enjoyed a bit of pampering at the Spa while she and my hero got their build on… It was wonderful.

I love going to the river walk in San Antonio. We have been several times but I just realized my son hasn’t been to the Alamo yet.

What a fun visit you had. We always have said we’d love to visit San Antonio. Our hometown of Pueblo, Colorado has a riverwalk and we have yet to visit it although we are only 120 miles away. My sister keeps me in the loop and was at the Pueblo Riverwalk last night . She said they ate pizza at a new place with beautiful marble floors. I loved the photo of Legoland as well as your beautiful hotel. You have a wonderful phamily. Glad you had a great trip and HPS to you!
