Come Sit On My Porch With Me

I don’t know how it is with anyone else, but we have had the most beautiful weather lately. Warm afternoons, chilly evenings, blue sky and gorgeous light. I just love fall. Taking a walk is a joy to the senses. Crunching leaves, birds calling, the glorious colors above, the excitement of seeing a college football game and smell of burning logs…it makes my heart skip a beat. Sitting on my porch in the afternoon is just a great place to be…my window to the world. Come and join me on the porch, we can talk renovations, pumpkin spice and all things orange!

Fall colors are so cozy
Rocking in the beautiful weather
Come on up!
Geraniums still in bloom.
Getting cozy on the couch.

  1. Hi Amy. Your blog was the first thing I read this morning. It’s still dark outside, I have a steaming cup of coffee, and I would have done anything to beam myself onto your porch. We got a beach house in Cape May during Covid and we live on our porch. Who needs a house? Anyway, I took a hiatus from Facebook but had to reactivate to publicize my work (I have a book coming out), but I think the only thing I like about being back on is your blog.

    1. Hi, just seeing this. I love my porch. I will wrap myself up and sit there almost year round. We have a very porch friendly neighbor and I can hear the Naval Academy and church circle bells. Our house itself is not so peaceful with renovation finally started, a two year process with COVID and picky permits. I cried when the backhoe arrived. Hopefully the first phase will be done before spring.
I will need to get a copy of your book from Amazon. How is your family? Grace is one year away from middle school. The sassy has already started. I wish you huge success with your work!
