The Princess and I had some time at home this week due to some cold and snow…I’m ready for Spring…Am I the only one? Anyway, her choice of indoor activity? She wanted to get “comfy and cozy,” which meant time on the couch, under a throw, watching DVDs I never thought I would ever watch…Barbie was in quite a few. It was pleasant. It was a feeling I wanted to capture. I hope it is reflected somewhat in my living room winter decor. Everyone would benefit from more “comfy and cozy” in their lives!
A mantel features wooly lambs and a fluffy cotton wreath.
The red maple sap buckets are a favorite of mine. They work great in every season and in every room.
Natural elements like a boxwood wreath, pine cones and found items add contrast and take a room from holiday to winter. The woven baskets are from a trip to Kenya a long time ago.
And what is more cozy than a couch full of pillow and warm throws. Extra ones are stored in a vintage apple crate.
As you can see the Princess takes her “cozy” quite seriously.

The always beautiful Princess is certainly comfy and cozy amidst all of those pillows! Love your winter touches, especially those woolly lambs. You reminded me that I have wanted to get a cotton ball wreath forever, must do so immediately. Stay comfy and cozy! Thank-you!

So precious! I have a daughter who has always loved getting “comfy and cozy” at home too … her favorite thing is making forts in the living room on days off (even at 13). I love your cozy touches and am so glad I stopped by from Faith ‘n Friends. 🙂

Oh I hope she still wants to snuggle when she is 13. Time is so fleeting. Thank you for your sweet comment. God bless.

love the couch with all those great pillows but what caught my eye was that wooden box that would be perfect for so many things. I believe that is something I will be looking for

The best is one of my favorite finds. You can’t see it clearly but there is a darling picture of a cute apple face on the side. Precious!

If only I could stop time during the cuddly moments…and if only the whole day could be cuddly. Our Princess has a fair amount of spice mixed with her sweetness.

I found them in Poland when I was living in Italy. I see them on occasion on EBay however. Aren’t they fabulous?

As an Aires, I really love all the rams on your mantel and I am totally jealous of all your throw pillows. My husband would never let me have so many!

They do confuse my husband and usually most of the time they are on the floor but I love the cozy element pillows lend. The sheep really are great aren’t they? I found them on a trip to Poland.
