I Found Paradise

With a three day weekend upon us, we decided to venture up north to the Philadelphia area to visit family and to allow the Princess to have her required amount of spoiling. On Saturday we headed to the Carousel Village in Indian Walk, PA.  Although mostly known for their Christmas tree farm, there is a running kid-size train and animal farm to delight year round. It was here, next to the organic market, that I discovered my own little paradise. I have yet to process what I saw but I do have some pictures to prove its existence… feast your eyes on the…

The ABC, pressed and depression glass…be still my heart!

The brass and antique pewterware….*sigh*

Every piece of antique kitchenware I ever dreamed about….

A small sampling of the…STONEWARE!

And, yes, the train was a hit! And yes I will share my secret paradise with you…if you are in the area, drop by Nostalgic Nook... you won’t be sorry!

  1. WOW!!

I go to that area frequently and have never stumbled across this treasure trove. Some people would have kept the location to themselves, you, however, are a generous and sharing soul. Thank you.

By the way, this is my first visit to your blog, by way of Naps on a Porch, Reading your older posts and will be returning.

    1. I love to share. I want them to stay open forever…so shop away. I grown up close to that area but have not been back often. Now that I live so much closer I plan on visiting more often. My parents have downsized to a smaller home and of course they love to see our Princess…perfect excuse.

  2. This was an absolutely perfect post for me! I was born in Pa. and lived there the first 30 yrs. of my life. I know well the area that you visited and the tree farm too. Carousel Village and Nostalgic Nook will be on my list when I travel to Pa. this October. I’m sure my Grandson will love the train. The Princess grows more beautiful, so adorable! Thank-you for sharing.

    1. I remember cutting down our Christmas trees each year. The area has changed so much but still the charm of Bucks County remains. We had a delicious cheesesteak right down the road at the Pinewood tavern. I can’t wait to go back.
